The 1908 unveiling ceremony of the Prison Ships Martyrs Monument in Fort Greene Park. The photo was taken by Brooklyn photographer Clifford Irving Jones from the Myrtle Avenue EL train station (notice the tracks). The event was attended by 30,000 people featuring a wide range of dignitaries including President Taft. Crowds of spectators can be seen lining either side of the hill and the park.
